A project driven by architect Rabih Hage, the concept was a combination of natural stone textures and porcelain stoneware for the pool. The choice of a bespoke textured Angolan slate wall, with the same material in a brushed finish for the pool surround, gives this space its identity and soul. The swimming pool is tiled in a porcelain that compliments the natural slate, yet brings the deep dark blue hues of the water colour into full perspective. This mixture of textures creates a mature space, thus illustrating the effectiveness of using different materials in a controlled way to offer a statement design.
